Has anyone fit a Memphis sportshield to a Dyna Sport? \\; the fitment says:
 \\; "For 71-06 FX, FXR, XL, 91-05 FXD and narrow forks (approx. 8 1/2†to 9†wide)"
 \\; Got a concern with the dual gauges there might be an issue.
 \\; (note to the anti-windshield crowd: I know a windshield on a sport makes no sense, but the bugs down here are BIG)
 \\;
 \\;
Do a dealer search on Memphis shades. Their dealer has a template which outlines ALL windshields they offer./ They hold it up to yuor ride so you can choose the best height. Mine fits perfect because of this,
That is an outstanding suggestion. \\;\\\\\\; Holiday weekend slowing me down a bit, will post results.
 \\;
Later: no dice on the templates. \\; great idea, but i guess FtMyers isn't big enough. \\; Taking the plunge with a Del Rio, will update.
For posterity:
The Del Rio fits an 04 dyna sport like a glove. As in tight. Had to put the mounting clamps flush with the upper triple clamp and most of the rake adjustment is used up to clear the back of the gauges.
For all that, did 1200 miles with it on last week and it's exactly what i wanted. Just enough protection, and not too much. Buffeting is noticable above 55 with helmet on, but not much bother slower or without. A taller shield would be better in the rain. I had to stop and clean road grime from goggles pretty often. But who wants to plan for rain?
