I believe it's that the profile laced have a smooth, curved rim and the laced just have an angled rim.&nbsp\\; The laced are standard on many models, whereas the profile are always an upgrade of some sort.

As Tralfaz said - the profile laced wheels have a smooth rounded rim while the regular laced&nbsp\\;wheels have a stepped rim.&nbsp\\; The stepped rim is the standard wire wheel on all Harley's that have wire wheels and the spokes are, I believe,&nbsp\\;cadmium plated.&nbsp\\; They are also an optional wheel for some of the models that have cast wheels.
&nbsp\\;
The profile wheels are an option on many models and&nbsp\\;in addition to the smooth rounded rim, they have chrome plated spokes.
&nbsp\\;
The cadmium plated spokes on the regular laced wheels will eventually (sometimes&nbsp\\;rather quickly)&nbsp\\;loose their shine and may even get a chalky finish to them.&nbsp\\; The chrome plated spokes on the profile lace wheels will retain their shine much better.&nbsp\\; You may have to polish the profile spokes from time to time, but they will stay shiny with some care.

I have profile laced wheels on my Ultra Classic. They look great and are much easier to clean than the other laced wheel.

I will post a photo of Profile wheels.&nbsp\\; These 16" wheels are brand new take off's bought from UNCLE PAT . My frind bought them &amp\\; they are off a 07? Softail. Comes with both rotors.&nbsp\\; My friend wants $400/pair complete with the new tires. I know my friend since Viet Nam (USMC) for a while and guarantee any transaction with him.
