Default Help with New tank and fender replacement on 05 Fatboy

Just received my new tank and fenders for the Fatboy.&nbsp\\; The front&nbsp\\; and rear fender don't seem to be that big a deal to change out.&nbsp\\; How hard is the gas tank to change, haven't had one off before so any info will be a big help.&nbsp\\; Anything&nbsp\\; I need to replace before mounting the new tank?&nbsp\\; I plan on using all the old mounting hardware, will that be ok.&nbsp\\; Thanks for any help I can get, I have got to get it back together so it doesn't interfer with my weekend trip.

really isn't that hard. pick up a service manual and you can have it done in no time. hardest part is not scratching the new one while installing it...

Did the same thing recently on my Road King.&nbsp\\; Removing the fuel pump/level assembly can be tricky.&nbsp\\; You'll definitely want a shop manual for assistance.&nbsp\\; And an extra set of hands will help to keep you from scratching anything.&nbsp\\; You will need to remove the pins from the fuel gauge plug in order to remove it.&nbsp\\; You should be able to re-use all the original mounting hardware.&nbsp\\; Go slow and be careful.&nbsp\\; Took me about a day.

Fuel pump is the only thing that is a pain in the azz.&nbsp\\; Everything else is simple.&nbsp\\; Drain tank, remove drossover, unbolt front and rear bolts, remove gas guage, remove fuel line, and swap it all over. &nbsp\\;
