08 RK with just over 2,000 miles on it. \\; The rear brake has started to squeal. \\; Stopped by the dealer and the service tech said it is the biggest complaint he gets about the 07-08 models. \\; Claimes it is due to the metalic brake pads HD now uses. \\; Suggested I wash the brake dust off and it should stop. \\; He was right it stopped for about the next 10 miles, then started again. \\; Is this typical and something I will just have to live with? \\; On a $21,000 bike I want heads to turn to look at it, not because it squeals like a stuck pig!!!!!

I had to replace my rear brake pads after 10K miles, and they were squealing. \\; I installed a floating rotor and the squeal stopped and the brake pads are doing quite well at 20K miles.

Wife had her SG in for the 2500 and complained about the squealing. They said it is more prevelent on ABS. They did their secret fix. They put front pads in the rear. It worked no squeal.
Mine never squeeked until I took it all apart and chromed the wheels and put it back together.
So I rode it alot.
Now it doesnt squeek again-anymore.
