High Idle After Constant Throttle

Already posted this on the Dyna section but no luck.

I have a 07 street bob and after I've been riding at a constant throttle opening (no matter what speed) when I close the throttle the revs stay at about 2500-3000. If I turn the bike off and restart it idles normally.

I have changed the throttle cables recently and I think I may have done something wrong? apart from this the bike runs perfectly.

Any ideas??

I'm having the same problem. I noticed that when coming to a stop, if I apply the front brake, and let off the clutch a bit to put some load on the engine it brings the idle down. But I am still looking to see what the problem is.

What kind of carb do you have?
