Default Starting issues.....

So i go to start the bike and when i turn the key to ignition everything looks normal, engine light goes out.....hit the starter button and all i hear is a click! So later in the day i tried it again and when i put the key in ignition i get nothing at all now as far as gauge lights or it even trying to start!&nbsp\\; When i put the key in accessory everything turns on though.......any ideas??

The first thing I'd do is tighten all 4 points of the battery cables.&nbsp\\; Don't look them over, don't check them, put a wrench on everyone and snug them up well.

If everything is clean and tight it may be time for a new battery.

&nbsp\\;If it's on your 04 it's probably a dead, dead, dead&nbsp\\;battery. Also check your cables, Harley uses really cheap cables.&nbsp\\;

After everything is tightened up, recharge the battery.&nbsp\\; That is the most likely cause.&nbsp\\; A four year old battery may still be OK, just run down.&nbsp\\; Use a Deltran Battery Tender Jr to keep the charge up when the bike hasn't been used for awhile.
