So a local dealer quoted me a total price of around $1700 (w/10% discount mind you) for a set of V&amp\\;H Big Radius (black...available 7/10) installed and tuned.&nbsp\\; The pipes alone are $785, so you do the math.

Am I nuts or is another grand a crazy amount to install them and do the tune or whatever needs done with the pipes?&nbsp\\; I figured a few hundred on top of the $785 max, but another grand?&nbsp\\; For that money, I'll just get the damn slip ons for a fraction of the cost and do them myself and not worry about having to have anything tuned!

Install the pipes yourself and then take it to the dealer for the tuner if that is the way you want to go. V&amp\\;H website says $685.00 for Big Radius pipes. Good choice I might add. I'd do those if I could afford it. You may want to ask them to break it down as to parts and labor to see what that labor is gonna run you.

Funny shockwave... I just had a quote of 1789.00 (Canadian) for the same pipes. So I don't think that particular stealer is more than any other stealer.&nbsp\\; But I as you laughed at the price.&nbsp\\; I do think there is a computer mod in there for a couple of hundred as well air breather upgrade. Mabye with tax refund next year!!

The black Big Radius (New this month) are $785.

Might consider installing them myself...just wasn't sure if doing that and then riding it to the dealer for the tune would screw anything up before I got it done.&nbsp\\; But ya, when I call again on the 10th (when they said they would be available to order) I'll ask for a more broken down detail of the price.

I might call a couple other dealers...although I'd like to go to the one I always go to for stuff.

you can get a thundermax auto tuner for that&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; lol

I did the Big radius chrome on my bike and power commander and stage I pipes were $500 from somerset motorsports in KY, power commander came programmed all i had to do was hook it up and bike runs fine for $298 from fuel moto online, and stage one from HD at 20 % off was $100 bucks so $898 bucks doing it myself and little time in my garage.&nbsp\\;

Do it yourself.&nbsp\\; The process for pipes and tuner took me around three hours and I took my time.&nbsp\\; It's not a difficult job and V&amp\\;H provides great instructions.&nbsp\\; You may need an extra set of hands a few times along the way..&nbsp\\; I helped a budy of mine a couple months back put on some big radius and it was as straight forward as my big shots
