Default Cam Swap...Forgot to Install Snap Ring

Well, I knew it was too good to be true. Things were going tooo smooooth...and then it happened!
Converted my 99 FLHTC from cam chains to gears. As I am about to adjust the new adjustable
pushrods, I look at my new parts packaging and notice a lonely little snap ring!!!!

Do I REALLY need this snap ring with the gear set up?&nbsp\\; What is its purpose?
After all, I did this conversion to make my ride more reliable.... so..........

Any input is appreciated...&nbsp\\; JEFF

Default RE: Cam Swap...Forgot to Install Snap Ring

Yes Jeff yo uneed the snap ring....it prevents the cam from walking out of the bearing in the cam plate. If it where allowed to walk out of the bearing the intake lob could start chewing the case up plus the lifter wouldn't have a good enough surface to run on.
Easy fix...remove the pipe and cam cover...45 mins tops.
