Hello, Well looks like i will prob be hanging in this forum now....Im in the military...In Baghdad right now...Almost out ...I have 6 more months then out of the Army...I Have a 2009 Nightster on order right now!!!!! But i think im going to switch the bike to a 2009 super glide...Since I know my wife is going to want to ride with me everynow and then....I dont know much about the Dyna Family...I have always only been able to afford sportster's...
But im moveing on up in the world..i guess lol ... My question is what exhaust set-ups sound good on a Super Glide...I was going to put short-shots on my nightster...And i love the sound they put off...But like i said i dont know much abou this bigger motor...Im sure this question has been asked over and over...But any help you could give me would be great....

RE: 2009 SUPER GLIDE QUESTION
Lots of exhaust options for the Super Glide. I had a set of BUB Chamber Maids on my Low Rider. Great Pipes, good looking, good tone, nice and loud. Mine came with two sets of torque inserts and a set of baffles if you want to tone it down it touch.
I have an 07 Street Bob with Rush slips-ons with 1.75 " baffles ( $ 299 at the dealer ). \\; I am really happy with the sound they put out. There are so many variables and I am sure you will get just as many inputs on what is good and how they sound. I ran into the same thing when I was looking for new exhaust. The best advice I can give you find a rally or event and go and listen to the many different set-ups in person. IMO you can't really tell by listening to a recording on the PC.
 \\;Anyway good luck in your search. Stay safe and thanks for your sacrifice.....

Joe

First of all..............Thank You for your service to our Country, I really appreciate all you guys do!! Be safe and come home safe!!

There are so many different choices on exhaust for the 96 cube. I struggled with what to go with, finally decided to go with Vance &\\; Hines Big Radius. Simply love the rumble and that Harley sound.

Welcome to the Forum from Georgetown, Texas!!!
 \\;
I've only had the Vance & Hines Pro Pipe BP on my Super Glide for a week now but I
noticed a huge difference in performance and it is loud. Be safe young man.
V&\\;H Big Radius 2-1. \\; The looks, the sound, and above all the performance. \\; Stay safe over there. \\; I was a sand box sailor over there in 04.
girlslikechef \\;hang in ther. I got home in June with the Texas Guard. Im looking at Dynas now. Check out http://www.texomahd.com/. right now they have $1000 off Dynas. And a guy in the Softails told me in Austin they took $500 off MSRP and gave him $1000 in free parts. So it might be better for your wife to buy a bike for you. And Im looking at Vance and Hines. My budy got them on his Super Glide and loves them.
change to the superglide!!!!!! not that the nightster is a bad bike but it is a small bike! im 5'9" and while deployed I ordered a nightster, but after coming back on mid tour i sat on the nightster and then the superglide and i changed my mind on the bike, the nightster is very small. anyway, there are a tons of variations for exhaust, i went with the rip saws just for the sound and i like the fact that i can blow dirt behind the bike! Stay Safe Brother!!!!
