First, go buy a service manual.&nbsp\\; It has the schedule (mileage), what needs done, and the manual will show you how to do it.
Second, if you paid for&nbsp\\;a 1 year service plan, you need to use it and not let the dealership have it for free.
Third, have them&nbsp\\;replace your cam chain followers, it's a warrenty item, and worth the $50 (warrenty co-pay)&nbsp\\;extra.

I have a 2001 Heritage classic with 24,700 miles. I just bought it 2 weeks ago and purchased a 1 year protection plan. It covers alot but it does not cover maintenance. I read the plan over pretty well and it also states I can perform the work but will need to keep all receipts for supplies.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;I guess thats proof you did it?
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
I will purchase the manual suggested ,, Thanks!
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
P.S.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
They said they do far more than fluid changes. They say they go over everything. I actually thought about just letting them have the work but when I got my bike&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;back from them the other day after they installed passenger floorboards ($782.00) they didnt even bother to wipe them off. They were installed and all finger prints ,, smudges ect on them and around them were just left. No attempt whatsoever to clean up theyre work? No way I throw 700 bones for service theyre way....

They went in "on the deal" ,, you are correct it was done a tad creepy. I looked up all the parts in the harley catalog and they actually only charged me $175 in labor. Its all good theyre pretty nice but I had to do some work to get the final # on them....... I started getting the impression they were hiding it about 1/2 way through the paper work.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
I told em no junk&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; and didnt ask cost so I am just as much to blame?
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Either way the way they concealed costs and the way they rolled my bike out the other day I dont think I will let them wrench on it anymore. I just have bad gut instincts now. I'll find another dealer or do it myself.
