Default 2008 Clutch

I just traded my 2006 FLHT for a 2008 Ultra Classic.&nbsp\\; I have also owned 3 other Ultra's pre 2006.
&nbsp\\;
The clutch feels different to me on the 08's.&nbsp\\; Seems like there is not as much friction zone like the previous models.&nbsp\\; Seems like it's either off or on but no in between.&nbsp\\; It's probably me thinking about it too much but I thought I would ask.&nbsp\\; My friend's 08 Ultra rides the same so is there a change or??
&nbsp\\;
Thanks for any input.

My 03 Road King clutch is much better.

I don't know if I would say weaker but they certainly are not as smooth.

I could'nt agree with you more fellas.&nbsp\\; I have a 08 Street Glide with only about 700 miles on her and it has'nt had the first service done on it yet and my clutch was so out of adjustment yesterday while out for a ride I stalled her three times. I had a 98 Fat boy previously so I have been riding for a while. The clutch cable coming out of the lever at the handle bar was really loose. Took her in to the dealer yesterday and tech adjusted it on the spot.&nbsp\\; I still don't like the feel of it when leaving a red light or a stop.&nbsp\\; I am finding it really does'nt grab like my old bike.&nbsp\\; Also, the first to second shift is pretty clunky.&nbsp\\; It would be nice to hear from some other members if they are having the same problem.

Its not a problem unless as stated its loose and out of adjustment.&nbsp\\; The difference your feeling&nbsp\\;is&nbsp\\;in&nbsp\\;07 HD changed the&nbsp\\;throw for easier lever&nbsp\\;pull.

Some including myself adjust the freeplay at the lever to 1/4 to 5/16"&nbsp\\;inch. I like my fiction point just off the grip.

My 08' feels diferent but I think its more from the rubber in the rear wheel pully than from the clutch. Kinda like it better.

Lucky,
&nbsp\\;
I never thought of that.&nbsp\\; I bet it's the different feel of the IDS system and not really the clutch itself.&nbsp\\; It will take some getting use to when pulling off in 1st gear.
