First post.
I've just discovered this forum via my brother. Why he didn't tell me a year ago is a mystery to me. I used to own a Harley - a 1980, 80 c.i.d. Superglide. I sold it to my brother about a year or so ago. That's why he found this forum.
I'm looking for a new (to me - \\;read as USED) Harley. Like everyone else I want the best bike at the lowest price. Selfish, huh? Fairly late model, medium to slightly high mileage is ok as long as it's been properly maintained, is in good condition and is reliable. I'm particularly interested in a soft-tail wide glide. Windshield, leather bags ...you know what I mean. Color no issue. Condition BIG issue. No rust!!! Garage kept. Service &\\; repair history a nice extra. Don't need lots of chrome. No weird after market electrical or mechanical **** or cheap chrome that flakes and/or rusts.

So, can anyone please point me to good places to look for such? Web sites are great. Photos are great, too.
I'm in the Houston, Texas area so bikes in this area are good, too.
What about used bikes at dealers? Deal or rip-off? Why?
Folks from the Houston area, which dealer is best to do business with on an all 'round basis?
Harley dealerships have sure gotten fancy since 1980!!! Haven't seen a Bandito in one for 20 years or more. I guess "their type" isn't welcome any more.

Thanks,
