Default Too sad for words

I read this and couldnt hold back the tears. Why are WE as a Nation.. a Great Nation... ignoring ALL these warning signs and throwing our Men and Women away like they were disposable. Did we learn NOTHING from the reams of medical journals kept from Viet Nam???

Newsday will look for any opportunity to bash the USA and our military. Where are their stories about how well things are going in Iraq since the surge?

Yes war is hell. Yes some pay the ultimate price. I'm very sorry for the young man and his family.

Yes this is a very sad outcome. They volunteer their services and some gave all. You would think we could provide better help for those in need. Its easier for some to turn their heads and look away. I hope as a Nation this is being addressed and resolved. (quick like) At all cost.&nbsp\\;

Ya know, I'm just not going to comment.&nbsp\\; Many already know how I feel and I don't like stirring the pot.&nbsp\\; This is nothing new and post stress has always been around......always.&nbsp\\; Military folks have always not even gotten a straw, let alone the short one.&nbsp\\; I hope it all changes in time.&nbsp\\; Prayers out to all who need the help.

When i first joined The Edison, i worked with an older fellow who served in WW2. I never heard his whole story, but he was a surviver of a US submarine sinking. The only things he told me where about the local VA hospital that had a " crazy floor" where he spent many years. Being locked away must be as bad as the original stress. God Bless you Joe Dwyer
