Default Identifying an 00' 883

My GF has an 00' 883, but i don't know what model it is and I want to lower it for her so she can have a better footing. Can you tell by the VIN?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

VIN should tell you. Call the dealer with it and see what they say. They should be able to look it up. Parts department would be a good start.

The VIN should tell you the model.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; It sould look something like 1 HD 1 BJ Y 1 3 6 K 111000 (without the spaces).&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; The fourth grouping (in this case the BJ) is the model.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; It should be one of the following:
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
CA = XL883(Standard)
CJ = XL883C
CM = XL883 Low
CK = XL883R
CL = XL1200R
CG = XL1200C
(These are from an '06 manual...not sure if the model codes change every year or not.)
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
Hope this will help.
