Anyone have trouble installing the PCIII per the instructions....I got it installed but it was tight and not much room for plugging in the usb for future tuning..... any tips for a cleaner install?

Loosen the electrical caddy to give you more room to work. Its tight but it will fit. Make sure to use dielectric grease at the connector. I took it a step further and shrink wrapped the connector.

I installed as instructed but before I put it all back together I set the throttle position and hooked up and routed the USB for future use.&nbsp\\; I would agree that accessing the usb port for tuning would be a bear.&nbsp\\; That's why I left mine plugged in.

I just finished installing one tonight.&nbsp\\; I left the ECM connectors under the seat and faced the usb port towards the battery, under the ECM.&nbsp\\; I also left the usb cable connected and routed it through the electrical box, stowing the excess cable in the data port housing under the electrical box connector.&nbsp\\; That way I can just pull the cover to plug in instead of pulling the seat.&nbsp\\; I don't see how you can access the usb if it is facing towards the rear.&nbsp\\; My fender and frame completely block it.

Mine is under my seat tucked into the frame sideways. I just take off the seat and pull the PCIII out of the frame and plug the USB in when needed.

you can place it flat under the sea, you have to do some slight mods but i can email you pix if you PM me. If its flat uner the seat then access to the USB etc is a walk

I did the same thing Pig did. Mine is under the seat. However I left the usb cable connected and inside a ziploc baggie to protect it from the weather. I don't even have to pull the pc out of the frame to adjust. Got the baggie idea from someone on the site.

SK8ROD....Thanks for the tip on mounting the PC under the seat....worked great....had it dyno tuned today...very happy with the results....map from Jamie at Fuelmoto was pretty close..a little rich....started with Tq 92.8/Hp 77.1..finished with Tq 96.6/ Hp 79.8.

Then it should be more&nbsp\\;fun to pack the PCIII in with the added run, turn, brake, signal, harness AND the security system! [:@]
