S'posed to be delivering Da Cap'n to Cinequip Studios today for the commercial shoot this week. All hyped up for the BIG event. Strip ALL the extras off the chop and&nbsp\\;polish the chit outta it. Grabbed the framed poster of Dennis and 'The Finger' off the grudge wall to get it autographed.&nbsp\\;Borrowd a buddy's enclosed trailer for the trip to Mpls. About an hour ago, I get a call from Brian Denny, PropsOnWheels, the guy who lined me up for the shoot, he said he got an email from AMERIPRISE, that they are cancelling the commercial. Some dimwit in the ad dept does not think they should film a commercial based on Easy Rider due to its association with the quote on quote, "Drug Culture of the 60's."&nbsp\\; IF it weren't for the 60's drug culture, Dennis Hopper would be a no name, just like me. &nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;
Oh, well, my 15 minutes of fame, turns into a 15 sec flash in the pan.
The plus side, Brian (a bikin' nut hisself) said he is going to post the Cap'n on his ad website, and he will be using it in some other shoots, now that he has found it.
The down side, Momma and I were going to stash the cash from the shoot, for our extended (now very shortened) trip to Sturgis.
So, back to being just another back woods biker with a chunk of steel with paint on it.
