ok i suppose. i use the tourmaster brand. 50$ each for top and bottoms. best most durable rainsuit ever. ventilated 3/4 length jacket nevr get wet in it. when it comes to rainsuits dont cheap out . i also have overshoes from tractor supply 20$
I use Frog toggs and like them very much. They are breatheable, light weight, and fairly inexpensive. DON'T get them close to the pipes or they will melt! That's the only problem with them that I see.
burned a small hole in the pants leg first time i used them maybe if i had put rubberbands around the leg this would not have happend. kept me dry anyway and not that expensive.
If your not a long distance tourer and want something to put in you saddle bag "just in case" then they're OK I guess. But if you put a lotta miles on and pull them out alot. Junk!
 \\;The best rain gear is Harleys IMO. Even their cheapest set is better the FT.

(ok I'm getting old...But not that old!
Cheap to buy, pack small, melt on pipes. \\; At high \\;speed they can shred, particularly on the legs exposed to the wind. \\;The new ones now have reflective material which was a drawback on the original. \\;

As an alternative, use Doc Bailey's leather dressing on all your leathers. It does a great job of waterproofing. Rain beads up on my leathers just like on a waxed car. \\; We seldom wear our rain suits unless it's a heavy rain.

Yes, I think you need to define your requirements. \\; If it's just to have em in the saddlebags in case, for once in long while...Go for it. \\; If however, you are going to do some serious touring, and weather can be unpredictable, get something good, strong, durable, that won't burn, and Gortex is really the only way to go. \\; Expensive, yes, but you'll only do it once. \\; Watch the sports shops for skiing gear that's waterproof, and usually on sale in the summer months. \\; Good luck, CCRyder
