Just took my 05 Ultra in on friday for the 1000 service. Didn't get to ride again till today. I had to trailer it up for the service due to rain all day on friday. Anyways, now i have a serious oil leak problem. i have oil all along the the frame, saddlebags and exhaust. It will drip when you park it leaving a small puddle here and there under it. I can't find where it is coming from. I got the manual out and read it. It says for a cold engine oil check to check it on the jiffy stand and the oil should be halfway between full and add. Mine is all the way up to the letter F in full. What would be the best way to take car of this and where would the oil be coming out at?
"Best" way? Take the scoot right back to the servicing dealer, Bro!!!! I wouldn't even think about anything else...if they overfilled ti, who kows what else the screwed up on a 1K service!!!!!

Same thing happened at my 1K service. They over filled the oil and stripped a screw on the inspection cover. They didn't tighten the Tranny drain plug either. Had fluid dripping on the floor and on my left side saddlebag. I'm doing things myself from now on.

What he said, and.....go straight to the Service Manager or GM request them to go over it again and detail it out ....maybe even get a free something for your trouble.

Well folks the problem has been solved. I called the service mgr this morning, told him the problem. Told him that the oil was all over the side of my bike and on the exhaust. It had already made a big stain on my new exhaust. He told me to bring it back and they would take care of everything. Well the dealer is 3hrs away and that was a pain but better safe than sorry. I loaded the bike up in my trailer and set out for the dealership. Got there, the serv. mgr met me at the door. He apologized over and over for the problem. he had the mechanic that serviced the bike come out to unload it and explain to me what may have went wrong. to make a long story short, Bike is fixed, the wife and i got 2 new harley shirts for our troubles and the mechanic got in some serious trouble. I hate that the guy got into trouble, he seemed to be a pretty cool guy. But when someone spends 23 grand you want it taken care of and serviced correctly..........
Glad to hear they were cool about it. You may feel bad that the guy got in some trouble over it, but it might make him be more carefull next time and might save someone else the same problems you had. You did it right man.
