Default saddle bags and guns

is it legal to carry a gun in your saddle bag. my dads in a hunting club and i got friends houses i can shoot at and stuff so i figure when i get a bike i could just put a&nbsp\\; handgun in a saddle bag or something. I figure its legal because its the same as sticking in a car but i wanted to make sure. same thing about rifles in a case on your back would that be legal or will i just have to drive a car or&nbsp\\; ride with someong else to go shooting?

Yeah, here we can keep the UNloaded gun in one saddlebag, and the ammo in the other one.&nbsp\\; That is assuming no CCW permit.

As I understand it here in Ca. weapon, unloaded and locked in one bag, ammo locked in the other.
Don't know about your state but may want to check.

Residing in Maryland…I would urge you to contact the Maryland Attorney General office and pose your question. He works for you so let his office reply. Maryland is not very gun friendly as opposed to the majority of other states.

LOCKED IN A SADDLEBAG SHOULD BE OK, CHECK WITH LOCAL SHERRIF OR DPS. WHY ARE YOU SHOOTING AT YOUR FRIENDS HOUSES ? MUST NOT BE GOOD FRIENDS IF YOU ARE SHOOTING AT THEM, OR THEIR HOUSES. JUST KIDDING.

Every state is different and some cities within those states have specific laws.

In South Dakota - one can carry a loaded firearm openly displayed without any permit. One can carry concealed on themselves or in a vehicle with a SD Conceled Pistol Permit ...... the only firearm carry permit issued in the State. No local governmental jurisdiction can pass a law or ordinance that superceeds state law.
