Default Rocker Pipes Scraped - What to do?

So I was riding my Rocker C the other day and drug my brand new V&H BR pipes. It curled the smaller bottom ear of the heat cover and scraped off the chrome. So I was hoping that I could get some advice from you guys. I figure that my options are to order a new set of heat shields or to cut the lower ears off of both shields and have the shields re-chromed. I don't know how hard it will be to find someone to reshape the metal and don't know what it would cost, but I know that if I don't do something, it is going to rust. Advice?

Mine scrape too, just try not to lean so far.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; That vibration you feel in the right foot peg?.. it's telling you to back off. lol

just ride.

if you are leaning far enough to scrape the pipe, that means you were "railing" a turn. nothing wrong with that

Put your stock pegs back on. Problem solved

You can either get used to it or get different pipes, if you keep scraping them you'll scrape the rust off and if you keeep scraping them there will be nothing left to scrape. Mine are flattened off right back to the inner pipe, adds character.
