Default What size bolts for softail seat?

I got my new seat and need to get some bolts for it. Anyone know offhand what size I need?&nbsp\\; Thanks

1/4 20 by 1/2 in is the mounting screw for the back

See if you can get stainless steel bolts. They will not rust on you and with if they are visable a little polishing will make them look like chrome.

I got the home depot 8 cent specials.&nbsp\\; I think they are zinc coated.&nbsp\\; I'll replace them when I have some extra cash.&nbsp\\; The guy at ace hardware was a dispchit and they keep all the nice chrome bolts behind the counter.&nbsp\\; I have a low tolerance for stupidity.

I bought the HD skull head bolt and cut it shorter.

Saw this posting and remembered that Harley uses an odd shaped nut under the fender.
Its shaped to fit the contour and the keyway that's punched into the fender.
If you don't have the original nut, you might want to visit the dealer (hate going to them for stuff) to get the one shaped to fit or a normal nut and washer could cause the fender surface to flex and make the paint to flake off under stress.
