I want to lower my Cross Bones, mostly for looks. \\; I first called service at my dealer who said Harley has a bolt kit for around $90 and labor would be about two hours. \\; I then called Eastern Performance who quoted a $200 Arlen Ness kit and two hours of labor as well. \\; Is there really a need to go with a $200 kit or are the two bolt kits fine? \\;
 \\;
For those of you who have lowered your Bones, please let me know which route you went. \\; Whatever I do, I'll have a dealer or another shop do the labor.
 \\;
Thanks!

My brother in law got his bones lowered at the Harley dealership with the bolt kit. Only took a couple of hours and looks great. I think it helped his center of gravity on that bike as well. Not sure why the Arlen Ness kit is so expensive except that its Arlen Ness.

P.S. He did the 2" lower on it

Do you happen to know the part number for the HD bolt kit he used? \\; The service guy I talked to said it would only lower the rear 1 inch. \\; Thanks.
I heard the HD kit sucks, any bolt kit will do... But if you want more go with progressives.
How about the Burnout lowering kit? That kit you won't need to press the shock, So you can do it
yourself, Just bolt on?
Have \\;any other Cross Bones owners actually lowered their bike? \\;If so, I'd love to hear what you did. \\;I'm \\;considering the Progressive bolts seriously. \\;Thanks.
