I'm presently riding a 2002 1200C that i've put substantial work into.....i'm now ready to upgrade to a bigger bike and i want to get a V-Rod.....are their any years to stay away from, what years are better than others.....common problems...exc....
No info from me, but I too think the V-rods are awesome. I really love the ride and feel of my 05 Custom, but last weekend I sat on several of the V-rods as I searched for a 883L for my wife, and they really feel right.
I know they are alot of money but have you thought of a Screamin' Eagle CVO V-Rod? I love the orange one w/the eagle on the tank. The yellow one is cool looking too. That fat rear tire and the extra hp got me when I saw them.
One of the advantages to a 2006 is the change in braking systems-Brembo, and I have heard something about a larger rear axle being implemented in one of the earlier years ?? Other than that, I don't know if a 2006 is better than any of the previous years. GOOD LUCK!
Ah yes, but I'd take the '02-'03 30t pulley anytime. I don't practice or need jack rabbit starts, and the lower RPMs at cruise are sweet. Plus, the thing flies and accelerates with the 30t already! But this is me. If I bought a 28t V-Rod, I'd switch to the 30t.
