I just pulled a 880 off the back of mt SERG that had a cancer bubble so big the tire would rotate around. It still had 40% left. Not hapyy, it was so cupped it felt like a wash board. Disscovered this 230 iles form home on a sunday.

I had the same problem with a front tire, not that impressed.

I put a Metzler 880 Marathon on the rear at 10,000 and after 1,500 miles it seems to be running OK. It corners good and seems to ride smoother than the OEM Dunlop. Hopefully this trend will continue.

I run the Metzlers. Tried the Continentals but just wasn't impressed with them. So back to the Metzlers for me.

I run metzlers front and rear and got 12,000kms out of them. They still look alright but are starting to slip in the wet so i got another set.

I would stick with the bias, because iv'e heard of tire drift and speed wobbles with the ME880 radials(160Vseries for the rear esp)i dont know about the avon's.

I ran a set of ME 880's and got better than 12,000 miles , they were great . I've had 3 sets of Metzelersand always found them to be great in mileage and traction both wet and dry. I'm on a set of Avon Venoms now. Both run much higher pressure than the dunlops , when the dealer mounted them he put stock OEM pressure in thinking that was OK , I brought them up to spec and have had no issues.

If you have spoked wheels, make sure you don't get the radial. Can't run tubes in a radial tire.

I have a 2001 FATBOY and have just installed the 880's, so far the ride seems totaly superior to the OEM's. As I roll, I'll let you know. SEA Ya!
