problems putting bike in neutral!!!

i just bought a 2006 road king and im having problems putting bike in neutral when the bike is running and im completely stopped. i can put it in neutral easy if im moving a little, but not when completely stopped. bike has only 200 miles on it. does the shifter need to break in? is this common on new bikes

Hey JP
Give it a bit of time. Mine was the same as well and was
told what I'm telling you and sure enough I have 2500 km
now and I can hit neutral anytime no problem.

change the oil and put synergin in it. youll be able to hit nuetral immediately.85-140.

Adjust your clutch, worked for me.

It is how the clutch is adjusted, don't worry. The way it is set, it will not slip. If you want to put it in Nuetral while at a stop light, not recommended, just give a slight twist of the throttle to increase rpm and shift into nuetral w/ ease.

Try that, it will work, no need to adjust the clutch.
