Default Green Chili Run

ColoradoGlide, myself and a friend will be leaving Pueblo, CO. on June 10th heading to Taos, NM where we'll meet Billnourse and Coold Dog...their wife's and kid. We'll probably ride the "Enchanted Circle" from Taos to Angel Fire (visit the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial while there) through Red River to Questa and back to Taos.

We'll post pictures when we get back. I'm looking forward to meeting these great guys and their families.

Al.

PS: We're calling this the "Green Chili Run" cause they've got some great chili at Michaels Restaurant in Taos...and thats kinda' our excuse for meeting in the middle. We've been planning this ride since last winter.

I go over that bridge at least once a year just to scare the $hit out of myself.

Al,

We are really looking forward to the ride. Se you Saturday.

Regards,

Bill

My dad was salesman who traveled across northern NM once every week. Whe I was a kid he took me on his route and I remember him driving down and up the canyon on a dirt road in the area...I think this road was used before the bridge was built. I grew up 60 miles north of Taos and we would take trips down there just to see it....and it scared me back then too.

Have you ever crossed (tried to!?) the Royal Gorge Bridge? That one will make you bite your seat pretty hard!

Al,

I have been across the Royal Gorge Bridge on foot and on the bike. We have also been across on the cable car, and have been to the bottom on the little carts. That is one deep hole in the ground.

Regards,

Bill
