It got up to the upper 70's today and I had to shed my full face for my half helmet. During the summer it can get 98 degrees with 80% humidity in Louisiana. Do most of you wear half helmets or full face in extremely hot weather?
On the Hayabusa, I always wear a full face. On the Harley, I'll wear full in the winter and half in the summer, especially because I finally got goggles that work. Can't wear the sunglasses. On the chopper, once I get it done, well, who can tell :-)
BTW, Colorado doesn't require a helmet.

I live in Texas and work in LA. So I wear a half on my way to/from work. Rest of the time I try to stay in TX and I don't wear any helmet, just an old ratty HD ball cap I cut most of the brim off.

That is good advise. I would make my rider wear one regardless of the law too. I couldnt amagine how i would feel if someone was to get hurt on my bike when i could of prevented it.
I wear a plastic skid lid, which is the very minimal to keep the LEO's attention off me (AL has helmet laws). During the winter months I wear a beannie and pull a neck warmer up to cover my ears, neck, and nose. Normally just enough skin to place on the shades. When Im traveling out of state, the lid comes off where legal. Nothing better than a warm day, with the wind through your hair. While out at Sturgis this year I carried my cowboy hat, amazingly enough that draws alot of attention when under travel at 60 (youd wonder how I stapled it on) but does offer good sun protection after youve burnt youre neck, and nose on those days prior.
