Any ideas on exhaust for a 05 dyna fxdci
Just was wondering what everyones ideas are on exhaust i know this is a big subject but being new to the harley scene and all i figured i would ask.I have been looking at some pythons with the skins for a really good price they are brand new from a local shop clearing out things.But i have also looked at some of the vance and hines.My only concern is sound.I dont want to by pipes and have them sound worse then the stocks(dought they could but) well any ways thanks for any help.Im also ordering a power commander for it.

Hello and Welcome rollnthunder, unless you're able to hear the particular type pf pipes, it comes down to a crap shoot.

Not sure if this is good advice or not, but where I come from (downunder) I was advised to get the airflo kit, flash update (called a download sometimes) and screaming eagle mufflers. I understand its a safe mod, sounds better than stock without being too loud, and gives the bike a little more power with the increased air intake and increased exhaust discharge.....all good I am told.

Well like i was saying i am either going with a python exhaust or now maybe a vance and hines everyone seems to talk highly of vance and hines.If i go with vance and hines it will be the straight shots probably plus a nice air cleaner and what ever else. The wife wont like this when im done.But hey i have to enjoy my first harley.After all it was her idea to get it for me...he he he
