Does anyone know if Dynojet's maps are lean from the get go just to help stay with the EPA regulations? I know they are richer than the stage 1 download, but I'm just throwing it out there. Seems like the map I down loaded for my bike is still to lean.

I found them to be rich. I tried many maps. My pipes were black and you could smell then unburnt gas when you idled. I got a dyno tune for $150.00. Best money I have spent yet. No more smell. Added 8 hp. Runs cooler. You can pull stumps out with this Ultra now.

I think if you have the map that DynoJet recommends (send their tech support an email telling them everything you have done to your bike and they will recommend a "starting point") it will probably be rich. I'm sure they don't want to be responsible for an engine meltdown. I have installed their recommended map and compared it to a dyno prepared map and it is much richer. I'm going to have mine dyno'd, too. But, with an A/F meter, you can get a lot closer in your own garage if you have the time and patience.
