SpeedsterX has volunteered to Road Captain the Mascot for Sturgis this year. It is a big responsibility and anything we can do to help him out would be appreciated. If we plan this right, we will have a great time there for everyone that will be attending. Lets use this thread to hammer out a solid plan.

Ok,

First thing I'm going to need is a place for everyone to meet up just to sign in at and on a date for that which would be early in the event but not necessarily on the very first day of the Rally.

I will be getting in on August 7th and figure the 8th woud be a good date for this.

Then the 10th for a Forum Members ride, maybe in the morning and we all could stop somewhere on the road for a late Brunch.

Then we can meet "somewhere" for a Rally Forum Members Party and drink the night away on Friday the 11th.

That would leave the rest of the weekend for your own personal parties at your respective campgrounds and such.

ANY AND ALL IDEAS WELCOME WHETHER IT BE YOUR 3RD POST OR YOU'RE A REGULAR!!

Leaving Mo Aug 5th. Plans are to spend first nite in Souix Falls, the rest of the week in Rapid City. Our first trip, so we only know what we have been told and so we have no plans except to ride and enjoy. We do want to check out the Shock & Awe of a day & nite of Sturgis. Will follow this post, Whatever you need don't hesitate to let me know. Would really like to meet up with the members going. A group ride would be great.

Hello SpeedsterX,

Finally firming up plans. I'm leaving the morning of the 4th, and will arrive either late on the 5th or noonish on the 6th. So I would definitely be up for the sign-in as well as member ride. I'm staying at Glencoe, and the info packet they sent has a good map for ride suggestions, but there are also good maps on sturgis.com and sturgisralley.com. We could use those maps to pick a ride for the 10th. As far as meeting on the 8th, maybe we could all meet at Thunder Road, check out the bikes/babes/and beer, and sign the Mascot. Just one idea. Regardless, look forward to seeing all out there!

FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS:

AUGUST 9TH!!! (NOT 8th as stated previously)

Sign-in MEET & GREET,

Will be at Stroker's Saloon starting at noon. Beers, Babes and BIKER BUILD-OFF!!!

Discovery Channel will be having the great "BIKER BUILD-OFF" this day on Thunder Road here. HDForums member's can come and meet up with the rest of us sign -in, sign the Mascot, and be a part of the voting for this nationally televised event at Thunder Road!! I will use ALL my "power" (LEO or otherwise) to try and get the Discovery Channel to give HDForums.com alittle "TV LOVE" (if you know what I mean

). STROKER'S is on Thunder Road (a major vendor road) located 3 miles east of "downtown" Sturgis on Highway 34.

HOW DOES THIS FIRST EVENT FOR US SOUND????

(Next up will be the HDForums Group Ride and PARTYYYYY afterward. Got suggestions let me know!!!)
