Default Spark plug wire connector vibrate loose, causes misfires?

The little thing that screws on the top of the spark plug , I dont know what it's called, the spark plug wire cap snaps on to it , it vibrates loose. Would this cause misfires, sputters, runs like its not getting gas? When this happens, if I reach down and press the spark wire down, it stops doing it, which would indicate to me that it is the problem? How do I get it to stay screwed dowm tight? I dont want to break anything. I am not a wrench, but thanks to forums like this, I am learning every day. I bought a used bike and have had to practically re-do everything. It is a custom built, badly built, I might add, so I am having to learn as I go. Somethinh every day to work on. Thanks again

Just a dab of red locktite.

When I install spark plugs of any kind, sometimes I find these caps loose. Just grab them with apair of pliers and tighten them on. I've never had one come loose.
