Default intermintent misfire

I have a TP 107 ci single fire, dual coil, Mikuni carb, straight pipes, no baffels. After the engine gets hot (sometimes I can run for an hour or more before it starts) it suddenly starts sputtering, misfires really bad, then suddenly catches and takes off. I thought water in thegas, put in some treatment. Seemed like when I pushed the plug wire down, it would catch, but it didnt work last time out. It can happen at any rpm, sometimes will last a while, sometimes a short time. Ehaust pulse out of both pipes when it happens. I am stumped. Plug wire? Coil going bad? Crap in the tank? Where do I start?
Thanks in advance.

PS When she is running right, she runs great! Good, smooth and quick throttle response.
