Biltmore Estate, NC
This guy had it rough, at 27 he inherited so much money he had to build this house, supposedly the largest house in America, in the late 1800's. Railroad tracks were laid to bring in both the materials and the workers daily. The house has a built in swimming pool, bowling lanes and several other incredible features, especially for its day.

Savannah, GA

Garden of the Gods, Colorado

Grand Canyon

Royal Gorge, Colorado, highest suspension bridge in the US, maybe the world, dont remember. Its high to say the least.

Monarch Pass, Colorado, 11,000 elevation end of June, high temp for that day 48degrees.

Silverton, Colorado This old steam loco runs from Silverton to Durango along the Colorado River, some of the most scenic backcounty anywhere.

Vegas

Those are great pics. The Grand Canyon is one my my favorite places that I know about. I once was planning to move there until I found how about the lack of job opportunities.

Time and money, I can never have both at the same time. I had a job that I was married to, it had strict absentee policies, and planned vacation, and I decided I didnt need that. Life is too short to live it for a job. So I took up working on bikes, because I love bikes, and its flexable. As for the trips, I say go, dont sit around planning, just saddle your hog and ride. For my honeymoon, I had planned to go to Colorado on the bike because up until that time I never had been west of the Mississippi. My friends thought Id never make it, but after getting to CO, and spending some time just working through the backcountry, I thought that the Grand Canyon isnt too far from here, so onward we went. After the Grand Canyon, I thought Vegas isnt too far from here so onward we went. After that road trip, Im hooked, granted it gets hard sometimes to put down such miles, the hum of the vtwin at 80 for 10 to 16 hours a day works on you, but in the same sense it allows you to live, and to see things in a way that you normally wouldnt. It makes a hot shower and a good bed all the better, and gives you experiences and memories that most will never see or have. This is broadway, the bright lights are on, you have but one chance, take it and run.
