My 93 Dyna has drag pipes on it right now. I really love the way they sound. The only thing better would be if they were just a little more quiet with the same deep rumble. They say drag pipes hurt low end torque. I am willing to take that trade off for the way they sound.

ok just uploaded a short vid of my bike
'06 fxdbi ,95" stage 2 ,s.e.air/k&n filter, s.e. 203 cams, rb racing l.s.r 1-3/4" turnouts rotated 45 degrees down.
bike wasnt started for 3 days previous so she's a lil cold[breaks up a bit toward the end]
wish i had a better mic. the tiny condensor mic. really doesnt do the sound justice [as we all know]

thanks man...i dunno what it is...but this thing just sounds different than most bikes, probably 'cuz of the 2-1 pipe..maybe the cams...maybe the combo...either way i love it!

Great idea and great sound.  I lived out there for 7 yrs. 2 in the City & 5 in Pacifica.  I don't miss the traffic; but at the moment there is snow on the ground and salt on the roads here.  My guess is you're still riding.

I installed Khrome Werks HP drag pipe baffles in my pipes. They knocked the volume down, just a bit and gave it a little more deeper tone.

Sounds good, is that the regular baffle or quiet baffle?

As promised for a couple of members earlier, here are the links to the new exhaust on 07 Electra Glide.  The first video has the fulsac duals with 69910-99 version SE slipons.  The second video has already been posted earlier but has the stock headers with 80490-07 SE slipons.

Anybody out there running S & S SPO's? Am interested in possibly putting them on my 07 SERK, using stock header pipes. I would like to hear them and compare them to the Rheinharts & V & H's.

Samson BG3 Street Sweepers. Kind of useless with the camera I have, but you can get an idea. A LOT louder than camera picks up.

This is also a test run so bear with me.Vid is grainy and the sound is mediocre but i think its apretty cool idea to post this, let me know what you guys think.
Photobucket is the shiznit, makes pics and vid posting easy.just load them to photobucket then right click on the file you want.hit copy and in your hdf message, for the vids hit the link button, then next to url right click and hit paste and for pics just hit the image tab and copy/paste the url between the boxes [image](paste here)[/image]and thats it!
I did a walk around so you can hear them at idle from all sides,i'll post a ride'n a-way one soon!

I did this with the record function on my digital camera!!!So lets get some contributions up on this thread!

Oh...and a nice presentation as well.

Once I get my top end rebuild complete and the engine broke-in, I'll be sure to post a vid.

I was recently in the market  for a new set of pipes and was unsure about which exhaust to buy.  Yeah, they all look shiny and kool, but...how will they sound on MY bike?  After stumbling in to this really great forum, I can appreciate being able to listen to the various different pipes and set ups.  So, in order to "pay it forward," here is my sound bite of my new pipes:
Wild Pigs Slip ons. Bought 'em on Ebay, shipped right from the Daytona area. I couldn't be happier.

Anyone got a side by side comparisan of the FatCat with the original baffle and the same bike/build with the "quiet" baffle?  Realizing that our video captures are only so good at best, at least this would be good for a comparisan of how much the quiet baffle actually reduces the original baffle sound.

Here is a V&H Pro Pipe with two rows blocked in a standard baffle, no insulation at outer end.  How does this compare to the Fatcat?

Thought I'd add my video (from ditigal camera) of the Heritage with the V&H Q-Series Double Barrel Staggers.  They actually are louder than the sound quality of this video shows.
