Default carb jetting,HELP

i have put some loud arss pipes on my ironhead 1000 ridged ,,,,,i still have the stock carb on it ,,,,do i need to re jet carb ,,,and does anyone know what size jet i should go with ??????

I don't know what jetting is in there now or what carb, but if you changed the pipes, you should bump up the low speed by one size and maybe the high speed jet size if you feel any surging, readjust the idle mixture also.

bike runs fine except for high rpm,,,when i get rpm up around 4500 to 5000 ,,the best i could describe it is it spudders a bit [&:]

You have points ignition in it? Check the gap and set the timing before you attack the carb.

thanks ill check the gap asap

but now i have a dumb question,,

i was putting on a new set of chrome rockerboxes and my idiot dog knocked over the box i had them in so they got mixed uo ,,,my Q is i have two with a whole threw them and two that are solid ,,,,,is this normal?? and if is witch ones go where lol,,, i have a clymer book but it does no show this in them[&:]

isn't there an oil line that goes from the cam chest by the lifter blocks up to the rocker boxes is that what you're talking about?

yes there are oil lines going to rocker boxes ,,,but im talking about my push rods ,,,two are hollow two are solid ,,,i bought this motor running ,,but i replaced rocker boxes with chrome ones ,,,
