Default Xena lock and chain

I just received my Xena XHC-15 chain and lock and I'm pretty impressed. The chain is heavy, covered and came with a nice heavy storage bag... But the lock, nice, clean, elegant and freaking LOUD! When I opened it up, I didn't realize the batteries were in it, so I unscrewed it to put them in. The darn thing went off in the house (without the cover on it) and it almost hurts your ears. The dog, cats, girl and kids all about had a heart attack! Once I put it back together I played with it a bit, it works as advertised. A little movement of the alarm once on the bike disk or on the chain and the thing WAILS!!!!

I don't plan on using the chain (or the lock) around town, just on longer trips when the bike will be left unsecured. Not sure if I'll always be able to get the 6.5 feet of chain around anything, but I'll sleep better with this lock along with the factory alarm!

Here you go:

http://www.xenasecurityusa.com/

is where you can see it, I purchased mine from a different dealer, but I don't have the info here, I might be able to find it Monday from the office if you need it.

I got the 6.5 foot chain with mine, and just came back from a 1800 mile trip, couldn't get the bike close enough to use it around a pole but did use the chain with the lock on the back tire and no one went near it.

By the way, when the cover is on the alarm it's not nearly as loud, still about as loud (maybe a bit louder) than the factory alarm.

Here's the company I purchased it from:

http://www.bikebone.com/page/BBSC/CTGY/xena-disc-lock

Great to do business with them, you can chat on-line with questions, quick shipping and pretty good prices.

I purchased a Xena Disk lock from Bikebone a couple of days ago. It should arrive here tomorrow.

Congrats, it's a nice product. Just gives me that little added security when I need to leave the bike in an unfamilliar place. I know the pro's will still get it if they want it. I think it's just the extra something that might make 'em walk on to the next easier target!

Just got it yesterday. It is very well made. I used it last night and today. It has functioned perfect. Well worth the money.
