Default Mustang seat-Road King

I have a 2004 RK and have not been very happy with the stock seat. I decided not to change it until I did a long trip to really give it a good test. Well in June I did a 2000 mile ride. I thought I would have to have the seat surgically removed from my back side. It damn near killed me. Leading me to begin my research. I read all the boards and decided that it would either be the Mustang or Corbin. I decided to try the Mustang as it was less expensive. I figured if it didn't work out, I would sell it on Ebay and move on to a Corbin. Well, today I did 350 miles on the Mustang and couldn't have been more impressed. It is excellent. I bought the solo saddle and kept the stock passenger seat as I very rarely ride two up. I also did a lot of pricing prior to my purchase, and ended up buying it through Benji's Harley-Davidson in Huntington, WV. They saved me a lot of money.

No pics yet. Mustang does have a model with a backrest for the RK.

I had the mustang on my honda and did 1017 in one day.. other then being worn out, I swear by them.

The only confusion I have now is to spend the cash on it or a air Zeppelin.. the mustang is half the cost.

I have the HD seat and its pretty rough, I did 1000 miles on it in day and a bunch of 200/300/400 mile days and I feel pretty uncomfortable after 200 miles. I can ride through it but knowing there is a better way.. I think adds to the wear. It turns in to a mental thing.. feel the pain coming <grin>.

I have a Mustang seat for my 05 RK Classic and also a Saddleman seat with gel. I love the mustang and have done over 10,000 miles with one and they are GREAT! However, I just did 4300 to Sturgis and around with the Saddleman seat and it also was a great seat. I still have both because they are both great comfortable seats for the rider. Both.... well worth the money... just under $400 each. My friend Joe loves the stock RK Classic seat... however, Joe only rides about 100 miles at a time for his "long" rides.

Best of luck and I'm assuming you already have it by now.

I bought a Mustang for my '02 Fat Boy this spring and have ridden all season with it. Spending the extra $$ for a model with a backrest for myself was some of the best money I've ever spent on motorcycling.

Got a 2 piece Mustang with backrest and love it! Started out with a Corbin, everyone raved about them. Well over $1000 later I almost had to give the thing away on ebay. Mustang seats are great in my opinion!

Mustang will take the seats back for full credit during the first 10 days after delivery no hassle. I know because Im on my second seat. Started with the one piece touring and wasnt happy with my seating position, called them to return it and try the wide solo touring seat and pax seat combo.
