Default Stearing Head Bearing Lubrication

2003 heritage Classic softail....First i went crazy making my grease gun working, loading etc. now that I got it working, I have been greasing the fitting on the right side of steering head. I should keep injecting till I see grease come out on bottom and or top of steering column?..right?.... I have given about 15 shots. i see grease coming out around the steering "lock" but none on the top or bottom of steering column. Should I keep pupmping. Your suggestions. i know I have to do this every 5000 miles.

Lever guns sukk for that job.....

Keep pumping until to start to see grease moving out from the dust shields, and don't forget to wipe up the excess..

Not one from the factory....

Put your own on there, if you feel the need...

I put about 30 pumps in mine till it was done. I used marine grease. And I thought it was every 10k miles you greased it?

Somebody suggested using a high temp syn grease so it won't weep. Haven't tried it yet though. Tim
