I have an extreme vibration at 2600 -2800 rpms in 4,5,6 gears. It gets progressively worse after driving 20 miles and on. It is so bad that it seriously feels like a direct mounted motor. The dealer says no problem but they have not done a long test drive. It is so bad I am calling to ask for H-D tech assistance to the dealer and am ready to sell it.
The trans is extremely hard to get into neutral when you try right before a stop.
Anyone have the same concerns?
*UPDATE*
HD Customer Service refuses to do any type of assistance since they say the dealer and the rep cannot feel the vibration I am experiencing. I am going to pursue this through the legal proceedings. Does anyone have a recommendation for a lawyer that specializes in these buy-back Lemon Law type cases and can you give me any other advice on any other steps I should take? After 14 purchases and spending over $400,000.00 in 12 years with HD they refused any assistance whatsoever.
Thanks,

It does take a while to find netural at a stop light. (BTW, I've been racing and riding dirt for 35 years, I've had practice finding netural)
I agree with ya, call HD regarding the extreme vibration.

I am the owner of a 2007 S/E Ultra, I do not have a problem. Is this your first Harley? They all are tight while they break-in, and yes the 110 motor shakes a little more than my old 88, but is should, it's bigger. Make sure you are not Lugging the motor, Try running up the rpm's a little between shifts.
It sounds like you are lugging the motor and the sensation you are felling is the bogging/lugging sound that a Harley will make if you shift them down around 2000 RPM!?!?!?
My 2007 S/E Ultra runs awesome, like a bat outta heck!?

No problems with my 07 SE Ultra - definitely easy to lug the engine causing her to shake like mad. All in all, great runner. Now if only the weather would cooperate......
IMO I believe riding between 2600-2800 rpm is not lugging.
But anything around 2000rpm SURE IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would difantly be calling MoCo that problem.

Good luck
Scott
That is a great question!!
I have a 2007 Ultra Classic and have been riding 40+ years on mostly
motorcycles out of Japan, so to me my Ultra vibrates plenty, IMO only
Harley owners would call this bike smooth.
IMO if someone wants a smooth motorcycle they need to buy my
Goldwing which is up for sale because I like my rattling, clanking
whining,vibrating Ultra Classic....
