I respect the fact that are "motorcycles" as in (literally) tricycles with motors.

I have never ridden one but would seem to be an easy ride and comfortable.
Highway speeds????
What do ya think?[sm=confused06.gif]
Don't like them to much.
I know one guy who lost a leg in combat, and rides one - I think that's great that he can enjoy himself like that.
But... it wouldn't be the same not being able to lean in to the curves at 70 or 80....
I'd be afraid of flipping over.
Trikes are not for me but they do have a place in the motorcycle scheme of things. Just because I don't like them (now) doesn't make them bad and one day in the future I'm sure some of us will have to go that route, through one reason or another. I would much rather ride a trike than have to use a cage.
Seen some really sweet trikes...can't say that their for me, but I imagine if I'm too old and frail to ride, I'll get a trike (especially if it comes with accesories like the second pic).
Having ridden as sport and raced trikes (Pedal type, and YES... they come as complex and as expensive as the two wheelers, just MORE SO!!!), I can say you're in for a thrill.
Since a two wheeler (motor and pedal) steers by leaning the bike, you have CONSTANT input into the steering as the rear axle plane rises from side to side. This is caused by bumps, road crown, dips, etc! It can get pretty exciting on the trikes (pedal) and requires a great deal of attention and skill in handling. Cornering (at speed, anyway) is nothing short of Thrilling for both triker and spectator!!! Now the pedal ones have a much higher center of gravity (talking traditional diamond frame here) and are extremely lightweight 28/29 pounds or so. Recumbant trikes have a much lower center of gravity (of course) and usually incorporate a much more sophisticated rear suspension.
I would think that an independent rear suspension in a motorized trike would be the way to go, and of course, your center of gravity is extremely low on a motorized bike from the start! Might be fun at least to try one!!!
