Carmichael to Nascar?

Well a couple weeks back the anouncement was made that the GOAT will be starting a Nascar deal. I was watching a broadcast( don't remember wich one) and the announcer was totally against it. He said something like( Ricky is taking the ride away from other drivers) How do you all feel on this subject? I"m all for it ! Ricky has proven that he is a champion and I believe that his throttle control will help him tremendously. All Nascar drivers have come from some other form of motorsports and I believe that right now they need new talent in Nascar. There are'nt even enough talented drivers to fill the cars that are going to be vacant(#6). I hope he does well and we see him in cup one day.

I say more power to him. He has proven he can win (hell, he dominated). He probably has more talent than some of the guys out there now. He is not coming from another car series that drove different than stock cars, so learning curve might be less.

Jeff Ward went to open wheel racing when he retired. I think RC can do it if anyone can, he has to earn it though so I hope he does well, I will miss him in the Super Cross and Outdoor Nationals.

As far as someone saying he's taking away a spot for another driver, well if RC can make the transition, do well in testing and drive fast enough to qualify, be approved by Nascar, then he will have earned it. RC showed his commitment to success in two wheel racing and I'm sure that would carry over to Nascar. I wonder what division he will try to start in?

I hope he does well. As far as talent goes I think Nascar has a plethora of talent in young drivers. I think they are more stacked in talent than any other sport.

I think that will be cool. I've always been a Supercross fan, not so much a Carmichael fan. But I think Ricky will be leaving the sport at the right time, on top as a Champion. It was kinda sad seeing Mac race his last few years. He just didn't have the stamima as the youger up coming guy's had. Carmichael made him look pretty bad. If Carmichael can be compete with the guy's in Nascar I would probably watch the races a lot more often.
