RE: Basic Forum How-to's: Avatars, Pictures, Sigs, & More
I have tried four times following your instructions. I was able to post the pic each time but it was way too large. I attempted to use the resize feature at photobucket and each time the pic is too big and the same size each time. What am I doing wrong? Also, how do I get the pic in each psot without having to go to photobucket each time to get it?

Yes, I have to go to photobucket, click on the URL link to retrieve a pic from there. I just bookmark it and go right there. Truth is, when I go there and upload a pic I usually grab the link right then and post it and I'm done.
It looks like you have already linked to one pic via your profile which is what I do for a sig pic anyway.
PS Now I see that maybe you haven't linked to a profile pic. There are directions for that in the link I gave and it doesn't make sense to rewrite it here. ??
If you try it and it doesn't work, paste the code in here and we'll fix it for you.

the reason why the pic is the same largesize after you reposted it...is because photobucket is using the same img code as the original lg pic...in which the forum will always read it as the large pic...
after you resize it....you have to use the rename option...and it'll give ya a new img code for the small one...
that's the one you use.
sorry so late...but maybe this will clear up the confusion for others....

You can't use their link. You have to use lower case letters as in [img] [/img] to surround your link. That's all that's wrong.
Here, use this, but remove the asterisk. Copy paste because it's important not to get any spaces or to make any changes. As before, we have to use that asterisk or the picture shows up instead of the link.
