Okay, I got upset with my bf last night. Today is my birthday and I was asking him on the phone last night that if he got me anything for my birthday could I open it this morning. He said no, because he has to go out and buy it today. That made me mad. He waited til the last freakin second to go and get me something. RRRRRRRRR! He said that he never had any time away from me that he could go and do it. That is a crock of crap cause he is off every Thursday while I am at work. We have been seeing each other for over 3 years and have lived together for 2 and a half of those.
I just want to know if this is typical of most/all men, or is he just an exception.
If this is the first time gotta let it go. If he is a repeat offender it's the why buy the cow thing. May need to make him appreciate him more by making him a bobbit.

Actually personally I think you shouldn't ask about the gift, it's really all about the surprize, it doesn't really matter when it's bought. Now sometimes I will buy gifts early, but most of the time it's the day before or that day if she has to work and we can't be together until the evening but that's just me. I guess it's all up to the person that's buying the gift. Hell I'm lucking if I even get a gift.
I was just a little upset cause we wake up together everyday and would be today also. He gets his kids from their Mom's house tonight and I just knew that we would not have any peace after they got there.
Oh, my truck is in the shop so he brought me home an F-250 Crew Cab to drive for my birthday. That is what I really want. HAHAHA!
As hot as you are he should have been planning for weeks now. Ain't this guy like 20+ years older than you are? How many of his friends date a hot young chick?
I tend to wait till the last minute to buy my wifes presents because its the only way to surprise her. She controls the checkbook and pays the bills, so within a week at best she has seen the charge and there goes the surprise.
AW thanks. Yes he is 28 years older than me and I would have thought the same thing as you, but I should know him better than that by now.
And, to answer your question, none of his friends date anyone like me. The guys that work for him all say that they want to be like him when they grow up.
I would cut him some slack. It may not be that he waited... could be he could only get it today... or it is perisahble... or something along those lines.
