Default Turning Accident

Well it happened as quick as a flash ... I layed my RK Classic over yesterday. Fortunately just go a sore ankle and some scuffs on the crash bars.
But I'm not even sure what happened. Maybe someone can help.
I was coming out of a parking lot, turning right. Moving less than 5 mph. No cars involved or within sight. Dry, non-slick road. After about 20 feet into the turn, I found myself on the ground with bike on it's crash bars ... and my foot. Fortunately my lady hopped off and had no injuries.
The bike seemed to just stop moving and fell over! I'm not sure if the bike stalled and stopped suddenly or what. Anybody ever had this kind of accident before?

Ouch!

The only time I did that (-the ankle) was when I was turning in a parking lot and grabbed my front brake. Mine was a slow drop though.

I think I would have had to turn in my bike ... or at least changed dealerships.

Sounds like you grabbed the front brake. That's what pulls a bike to the ground real fast.

Actually, I have a freind in LA with a RK who had his front brake lock up while riding down the interstate. It happened twice. Luckily it wasnt severe enough that he lost control.

But if yours did that while you were in a slight turn.....bingo.

Might want to get it checked out.

As others have mentioned, it does sound as if something happened with the front brake. Glad both of you are OK.
