Default FYI -- Almost cost free add-on

Here's an almost free add-on tip that could save you the HD 15 bucks --

You know that little chrome job that HD sells to cover the seat mount screw located behind the seat?-- the one that goes for 15 bucks and up?....A regular little chrome "ABS plastic" license plate bolt cover, usually found in packs of four, will run you about $2.50 at any Autozone...just pop one of those puppies on, and it looks like a custom job -- perfect fit

Danester, that's a good observation.

If you haven't got a http://www.jpcycles.com/ catalog yet, get one.
They have anything you can think of and then some.

I'm not sure if this is the proper forum group to post this or not. Does anyone have an on-line Harley dealer they buy parts and accessoried from? I found one, hmhd.com. Once a month they have a sale for 10% off your entire order. They have a pretty big selection of Genuine Parts and Accessories as well as clothing. Shipping if free for orders over $225 and there is no sales tax if you live outside of Ohio.

M&M Cycles is a good mom and pop shop that has great prices. Check them out.

For discounts on Harley parts and acc., go to www.Surdyke.com. You get a 20% discount on all Harley items, not sure about the aftermarket items.

Try Hale's Sport Center, Inc., phone # (419) 522-8602. It's located in Ohio. They give 20% off everyday and the shipping is very reasonable with no sales tax outside of Ohio.

The Surdyke.com sight is UNIQUE in that you can put in ANY HARLEY PART NUMBER and see their selling price. Note- ALL items are not 20% off... We recently placed a HUGE parts order, and found the actual difference between our local dealer giving us 15% off, and the SURDYKE pricing to be close. Of course- we would have avoided sales tax- but ended up supporting our local shop.

The Surdyke pricing is also handy if you are eBAy shopping. It can keep you from paying too much for a "slightly used" item that ends up costing more than new with shipping from Surdyke!
