Knucklehead

These days, if you want a nice Knucklehead, it’s going to cost you!

If you’ve been following the collector bike market of late, you already know that the venerable Harley Knucklehead is fast becoming a hot item. One could also argue that this lavish attention is long overdue. After all, with the exception of very early Harleys, few other models have received the interest many other brands of old bikes already enjoy. Aside from making folks some money, however, there are other side benefits to this trend.

1941 Harley Knucklehead

Namely, we enthusiasts get to see increasingly nice Knucklehead examples popping up on the market. Like this gorgeous 1941 Harley we spotted over on eBay, for example. Fresh off a professional restoration, the vintage ride headed to climate controlled storage. Only 50 miles were accumulated over the year or so since the refresh, so this thing is pretty much perfect.

Throw in the fact that 1941 is the first year of the big twin Knucklehead, and you’ve got a recipe for big money. Which, of course, is what the seller is asking for – a hefty $85k. The unique thing about this bike, besides its immaculate condition, is that it also comes with a matching sidecar. So perhaps the asking price is justified, after all. Especially when you consider the current market climate.
