Bad Land Shishigaya DS Gride Is a Gorgeous ’66 FL Evo Custom

Bad Land modifies a 1996 FL Evo into the breathtaking Shishigaya DS Gride, which sports a gorgeous Bush Art paint job.

When it comes to custom Harleys, we’ve seen a variety of projects. It seems like nowadays, relatively modern nameplates such as V-Rods, Breakouts, and Fat Boys have dominated the custom Harley segment. Finding a nice old-school-style custom-built Harley can be quite difficult today. Well, once again Japanese atelier- Bad Land- has come to our aid with yet another breathtaking artwork- the Shishigaya DS Gride.

This time around, the Japanese custom bike outfit has modified a 1996 FL Evo. As always, the Shishigaya DS Gride is an ornate Bad Land offering that stands out for its finesse. Shishigaya DS Gride’s design is a big departure from the styling of the original motorcycle.

Back in July, we discussed another Bad Land creation called Shishigaya Style No. 1. Bad Land’s DS Glide also sports a beautiful paint job, which is similar to the one that adorns the bodywork of Style No. 1. As per Bad Land’s official website, BUSH ART is responsible for the custom paint job.

The curvaceous fenders are truly the pièce de résistance of Shishigaya DS Gride’s bodywork.

Apart from the paint job, the visible differences that make Bad Land’s version striking are the custom additions which include the new handlebar, long exhaust pipe, fenders, and perfectly straight exhaust. The Bad Land team fabricated most of the custom bits in-house. The custom Harley rides on 21-inch rims at the front, and the rear-end sits on an 18-inch wheel. The rims for Bad Land’s Shishigaya DS Gride are offerings of TTS Wheels (Germany).

Of all the additions, the curvaceous fenders are truly the pièce de résistance of this custom ensemble’s bodywork. Apart from the aforementioned parts, this custom bike is also fitted with, LED turn signals from Ken’s Factory. The motorcycle’s belt pulley was supplied by Rick’s Motorcycles, and the brake calipers (Front and Rear) were sourced from Performance Machine.

Although this example sits poised now, we do not have any information regarding how long it took Bad Land to put this gorgeous Harley together. There’s also no word regarding the pricing of Shishigaya DS Gride. Hopefully, we’ll get to see more old-school-esque creations from the Japanese atelier in the future.
