Hotbike Tour build combines vintage style with modern goodies for the perfect package.

One of the most appealing things about Harley-Davidsons in general is that they pay homage to the past while also sporting plenty of modern appeal. Which is not to say that the retro effect can’t be enhanced, of course. Bikes like this Carey Hart built Road Glide bagger are certainly proof of that. We spied the sweet ride over on the Hemmings classifieds, where it’s being advertised ahead of the June Mecum auction in Las Vegas.

Hart made his name as a freestyle motocross competitor and off-road racer, but he also builds some pretty sweet rides. That much is evident by taking even the slightest glance at this 2016 Road Glide bagger. The bike was constructed specifically for the Hotbike tour, which features a celebrity bike build off each year.

This particular Hart bagger was good enough to win the People’s Choice award at Hotbike, and it’s easy to see why. Aside from that perfect blend of modern and vintage style, the bike incorporates some of Hart’s racing background as well. That much is evident from the track themed, custom Airtrix paint job.

The Road Glide also sports carbon fiber bags, wheels, and rear fender for added lightness. And of course, power comes in spades thanks to a 124ci S&S motor. We wouldn’t expect anything less from the legendary racer. And we can’t imagine a cooler bike to cross the country with than this one.
