Daughters of Anarchy: 'International Female Ride Day,' May 6

Midwest Harley shops banding together for one big party for the ladies.

Come pay tribute to the badass women who live for the open road. In a very cool sign of solidarity, next month, 10 Illinois and Wisconsin area Harley-Davidson dealerships are banding together to host a very special “International Female Ride Day.” Set to take place on May 6, festivities will include a riding tour to area Harley shops that concludes with a parking lot party at Wild Fire Harley-Davidson.

“Whether it’s just you or you and 100 of your closest friends, this is a day to celebrate female riders and the freedom of the open road!” say the events organizers. So far, the response has been overwhelming, with many riders having already RSVP’d via Facebook.

“International Female Ride Day” is a free event taking place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 6. Interested participants can register at any of the participating dealerships. Registrants receive a commemorative lanyard, and the first 50 woman to register get “a free kick-ass gift bag.”

Throughout the day, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., riders can join a tour all area Harley dealerships. Visit a minimum of four of the Chicago area’s 10 dealerships to qualify to win a $1,500 gift card.

At 3 p.m., the ride ends at Wild Fire Harley-Davidson with a celebration with free food and beverages. Plus, there will be food trucks and live music.
