Harley Davidson Featured in The Crew 2 Video Game

Harley hopes the partnership will attract new riders to the brand.

Ever fantasize about riding a Harley in your pajamas from the comfort of your own home? Well, you’re in luck! Harley-Davidson has just teamed up with video game maker Ubisoft to feature several of their bikes in the upcoming game, The Crew 2. In the game, you’ll have the opportunity to take a variety of their bikes and drive through cities spread across the United States. Basically, you can recreate Easy Rider from your couch!

The first bike to be featured is the Harley-Davidson Iron 833. Judging from the picture included in the article from Video Gamer, this bike looks to be an almost exact replica of the real thing. As a matter of fact, if you didn’t know better, you may think you’re looking at a real picture of the actual bike. Harley-Davidson and Ubisoft say that other bikes will be seen in the game, allowing players to get a chance to experience riding a variety of Harleys.

The Crew 2 is an online game that features an open-world concept. Meaning, if you want to play the game and do the missions, you can do that. However, if you want to take your vehicles and just ride around the cities, and even across country, you can do that as well! Other than cars, and the Harleys, the game maker is saying that boats and planes will also be included.

In a statement from Heather Malenshek, Harley-Davidson Vice president of Global Marketing and Brand, she gives the reason that Harley-Davidson is so excited to be featured. “Harley-Davidson has a storied past of celebrating the American spirit, freedom and love of the open road, with the launch of The Crew 2, we hope to inspire more people, young and older, to engage in the sport of motorcycling,” she said.

It’s no secret that Harley-Davidson has been hoping to attract younger riders to the brand. With bikes like the Street Rod 750, and their recently unveiled 2018 lineup, the motorcycle manufacturer is really trying to appeal to a demographic that may view the brand as old-fashioned. Whatever the reason behind the deal, it sure will be fun taking these bikes out for a ride, even if it’s just digitally.
